When working in a remote-first work environment, it can be challenging to connect with your colleagues. As part of the culture team in my time at Blueprint Test Preparation, we had the idea to modernize the old-fashioned ‘candy gram’ into a Virtual Valentine opportunity. I created this set of postcard style valentines for employees to personalize and send out to their peers! It was a fun project outside my daily scope of work and spread a lot of joy within each team!

When I got engaged, I knew I had to design my wedding invitation suite. I wanted it to represent and embody us as a couple, so every step of the process was handcrafted. My husband and I designed the lettering for our names and I rendered it in Illustrator. I created the leaf motifs by foraging leaves from my yard, inking and stamping them, and finally—digitizing! Once they were ready for print, we tore each one by hand, resulting in a beautiful raw edge! They were wrapped together and twine and neatly tucked inside a craft paper envelope.
